Happy New Year!

The start of this new year has already been a blast, especially since I've seen Twilight SIX times. I love Edward (Robert Pattinson) but I have to admit sometimes the special effects were a bit cheesy - the 'tree climbing' scenes were painful! Still, SO much fun! I highly recommend it!

Right now I am writing a book called Dragonfly Eyes, and it deals with the paranormal. So - any more ghost stories? Personal experiences you'd like to share that might end up in my new book? As far as The Dying Breath, I still have to get clearance from the legal department to post a blurb. I'll follow up on that tomorrow.

In the meantime, I hope this finds you all happy and excited for 2009. I just KNOW it will be amazing!

Hugs from Colorado,

Alane Ferguson

I have had several experiences with ghosts. I see them all the time. One night i was lying in bed trying to sleep when all of the sudden someone was shouting something in my ear. I open my eyes and look around to see nobobdy there. But all the time i see ghosts. walking across the street and cars go through them it freaks me out. one time i saw some guy on his bike. i was in the car with my mom when he crossed the street. i braced myself for her to hit him. instead as soon as we hit him he dissappeared. some of them freak me out. and several times someone has shouted in my ear and i look around to see no one there.

Seriously? So did the ghost look like a regular person or was he kind of see-through? When the ghosts shout, what do they say to you? I had a really strange experience a couple of months ago when I was doing paranormal research - I got into my car (at night) and every light inside and outside the car went CRAZY, blinking a million miles a minute. I never knew my car had so many interior lights, but in the armrests, overhead, brake lights, outside lights, every light just went nuts! My husband ran to me because even from inside our home he could tell my car was spasming, and when I got out of the car and he got into the driver's seat the lights completely stopped. It started back up again when I slipped behind the wheel. I had to drive five miles like that and I was afraid the police would pull me over because my car was flashing like a space ship. Then my son-in-law tried to figure out what was wrong, but when he got in it stopped again. When I got back into the car it once again flipped out with the lights, and I had to drive back home with everything tripping. When my husband got back into the car it stopped again and has never done it since. WEIRD!

Jenny - I think the word 'pitful' concerning the tree-climbing scene is actually generous. But if Edward is on the screen then who cares??? I LOVED that l-o-o-o-n-g drawn-out kiss (don't move!) and the dancing at the end. Great stuff! Thank heaven there will be a bigger budget on New Moon!
