I'm Off to Florida!

Hi Everyone!

Well, it's still a waiting game, but I got an email from my eidtor and I think the plan is for me to turn the manuscript around quickly so TDB will be in your hands as soon as possible. I'm leaving for a speaking trip to Tampa for a week (my flight is Sunday morning at the crack of dawn!) and when I get back, I should have TDB on my desk, ready for me to dive in and revise. I'm planning to work very, very hard to make sure it's the best book yet! I also plan to work on TDB and nothing else so that my publisher can send it off the the printers.

I must run and pack my bags and get ready to share forensics with my Florida fans. Thanks to everyone who has written emails as well as messages on this blog - I promise there will be more upon my return. In the meantime, send in your ghost stories and feel a great, big Colorado hug from me to each and every one of you!

XO's,

Alane Ferguson

Have fun! I am SO excited for your new book. The last one, The Circle of Blood, was an excellent book! Especially the cliff hanger at the end :)

Mrs. Ferguson,
you met me today on your speaking trip at Brandon High School. I was the one that showed you my poetry and we discussed my writing and my future plans. However, time was cut short and I wanted to ask you one more thing. I know from experience that its sometimes really hard to get your brain moving in order for you to work up a story. Do you ever have to be in the mood to write?
something unusual about me is that I never have to be "in the mood." I can basically force myself to write anytime, although i wouldnt call it forcing since i enjoy every minute of it. :) anyways, I just got home and your blog was the first thing on my mind. I, too, have a blogspot account. The URL is http://www.kinzie1202.blogspot.com
comment me- I would absolutely LOVE to hear more from you. It was such an honor to meet you today.

Hi Alane,

Our school website filters have blocked your website (not sure why), so I didn't realize you had a blog until tonight! My Teens Read class is currently reading The Angel of Death, and my boys are LOVING this series (except for the whole Justin and Camryn thing, which keeps my girls reading.) I can't wait to tell them on Monday that the fourth book will be coming soon! Thanks for posting last year's TR class's letter to you on your June 18th entry! Crazy enough, even though your website is blocked, I don't think your blog is, so I plan on sharing that entry with my new TR class. Stay tuned for questions from my new set of readers . . . . .
Thanks again for writing CLEAN books that hook young adults!

I just wanted to let you know that you inspire me. Well, I have two websites to give you. the first is www.kinzie1202.blogspot.com thats my own personal blog. the second is www.testriffic.com/user/kinzie52
on this website I display the majority of my writing. I hope you like them all. :)

Wow. What a good chapter. I'm left hanging. You came to my school: Lecanto Middle. I was the one who emailed you. My blog is just something for me to help organize my thoughts for the novel I'm writing. You don't have to look at it at all. Thank you for coming to our school. You are very cool

Mrs.Ferguson,
I totally love your first book, "The Christopher Killer" it is so addicting to where you can't put it down.I look forward to finishing this series, even my family members like your books! I like how you do a lot of research and then put it in your books that is what gives your books a special touch. Wishing the best and Good luck on all your books.
:)
